We look forward to being the second to greet you upon arrival...as Zeus, aka "The Moose" our Shelter mascot will undoubtedly be the first! Moose is a large Akita mix with a wagging tail for all our clients.
We encourage you to adopt a 'second chance animal' as described in this poem 'Pass By My Cage'.
With a heavy heart we say goodbye to Moose, who passed 1/31/13, due to kidney failure.
We will meet again on Rainbow Bridge, buddy. We love you!

We are located near the center of Wedowee at 104 Animal Shelter Road.
From the main intersection of Hwy 431 and Hwy 48, go west on Hwy 48 toward Lineville/Ashland.
After about 3/4 of a mile, watch for our RCAS paw print sign on the right. The sign is held up by two bright yellow 8' posts.
Turn right there, just before Lake Wedowee Auto Body Shop onto Animal Shelter Road and continue up the hill.
We are the 2nd driveway on your right.
