Our two major Fun(d)raiser Events are:
1. Bi-Annual Book Sales Book/CD/DVD/tape donations welcome !
Our next sales are April 14 & 21, 2012; 9am to 1pm. (See calendar)
New and used book prices start at $.75
We have CD's, DVD's, tapes, books (hard and soft cover), collectible comic books.
All materials are classified into sections as Westerns, Novels, Travel, etc.
Location: Chris Mitchum's Warehouse on Main Street in Roanoke, across from the Cemetery
If you have not been here, it is worth a visit just to see the eclectic building.
Usually the nearby Roanoke Museum is open during our book sales.

Our 2011 races were held 5/14/11:
The Paddlin' 4 Paws races were a huge success with 34 boats entries and 80 rowers. After expenses we raised over $12,300. Some of those funds allowed us to build Puppy Palace 1 & 2, our new outdoor roofed exercise area for the pups.

Boat racers need to finish registration and boat inspection between 9:00 - 11am in order to race.
No admission fee. No parking fee. Come join us for a family day of fun at Chimney Cove Properties, 1/4 mile North of Wedowee
Yes, we race cardboard boats for fame and awards while we raise money for our animal's care; Last year 34 boats with 80 rowers
competed for 26 photo plaque awards. Hilarious fun; who will sink/swim/finish the 200 yard race course in their homemade boats?
Grudge race too. Our Final race is a Water NASCAR demolition derby.

Vendors include reasonable priced and delicious breakfast and lunch foods including sausage biscuits and coffee, BBQ, hot dogs,
